It was a sad news for a father and, a painful experience for a mother, as their newborn baby died after being dragged along the floor by his umbilical cord because medics "MISSED" birth. Bungling medics, who were pushing the mother into surgery, on a wheelchair, and didn't notice the baby had fallen out of her womb and hit the ground head first.

The baby was dragged quite a distance - with mother on a wheelchair - along the ground by his umbilical cord. Medics noticed he'd been BORN relatively too late. Distraught mother, 45 year old Shang Shao, was rushed to the hospital after her waters two months earlier than expected. The baby was taped by camera falling out of his mother's womb, smashing his head on the ground while she was being taken into surgery, in Luoyang City, China.

Devastated dad Pan Mai, 46, the expectant father of he new born baby is now looking to sue the hospital in China's Henan province. The unbelievable CCTV footage shows, the baby tugging behind being along the floor, by his umbilical cord while unsuspecting staff continue to push the wheelchair. Nurses only noticed a trail of blood moments later and stopped to see what had happened.

"This is the most traumatic day of our lives." Says Pan Mai, who is 46 years old.

"The baby was taken into intensive care but died soon after of intracranial hematomas, a rupturing of a blood vessel between the skull and the brain." Said the hospital's spokesman. He continued, "The doctor who suggested she be given a cesarean has been suspended from duty. He was inexperienced and should have consulted a senior doctor.

"The nurses taking the mother have been disciplined as they shouldn't have moved her in a wheelchair. They have been demoted and given a warning. This was a terrible incident and our hearts go out to the family." he added.
